I’ve never seen an up to date masterpost for my favorite spidey, the one and only, Miles Morales, and since I have all these files floating around my computer anyway I thought what the heck? I’ll make one myself. My bad if it’s already been done, but there’s really no such thing as too much promotion of this character so..
Miles will also be featured in an episode of Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors that’s set to air sometime next year.
If you like what you read and are able to please, please actually buy these titles! There’s no better way to show your support and the more support Miles has the more likely we are to see more of him.
*in reading order and including Age of Ultron 10 and Hunger 1-4, not all issues feature Miles but should be read anyways for context

Good Notetaking

This is the system I’ve used since my sophomore year of high school for notes and its worked consistently, all the way through to my senior year of college. I hope it helps!

  • I generally use three different color pens in bright shades. You want your notes to be something you enjoy looking at. One color is for headings and important, must remember facts (pink). One color is for key words and theories (green) and one is for definitions (purple).
  • If I’m given a diagram during a lecture, I do my best to copy it down. Then I try to describe whats going on in my own words. Having a mental image of some important process has saved my but on an exam multiple times!
  • I also draw little example pictures inline with the text of my notes as additional memory devices.
  • If the professor makes the class slides available before the lecture, I’ll print them and write general summaries of the material in my notes ahead of time. That will save you from rushing in lecture and give you more time to ask questions about the things you don’t understand.

Generally, my notes don’t come out as neat as they are here. Most of the time, I end up copying them over so they’re easier to read and study from. Plus you get the added bonus of extra revision!

Good luck and happy studying! Xx

Optional ideas:

How about flavouring your Lembas with some spices to acchieve some variety? Here are some ideas what you could mix into the dough:

  • Vanilla-extract
  • Lemon or Orange-peel (make sure the fruit are ecological and have not had chemical treatment. If you are insecure, please ask one of the shopkeepers, for not every fruit’s peel is made to be eaten!)
  • Cinnamon
  • Orange-blossom extract (you may get this in an oriental supermarket)
  • Rose extract (also available in an oriental supermarket)

How I remove white backgrounds from scans.

I can never get the other method to work that I have seen here on some tutorial blogs. So I found another way which is much more simple in my opinion. I am not sure if it will work on later versions of photoshop. I am using the cs5 version.

Hope this helps someone!

A weird thing I find incredibly helpful for art/writing.

Eplans.com is a website that sells blueprints for houses.

This might not seem that helpful but if you want a characters house you can make selections based on what sort of house you want them to live in.

Then browse through the results and find the house you want. Then you can view the blueprints and have a room layout for that house, which can help with visualising the space they live in.

It makes describing generic homes so much easier.

Stage Musicals.
The ones filmed on stage are not always the best quality. I tried to include every version I could find. Most of these are the movie versions, if a version was available. Enjoy!
I highly suggest everyone installs an ad blocker before watching these videos: Firefox & Chrome Safari
